Project Background

In early April 2025, Realogistics received a shipment entrustment from a long-term cooperative Turkish agent to arrange a 20GP container maritime export from Shanghai Port to Le Havre, France. The cargo consisted of special exhibition carpets .

Project Challenges

1. High Standards for Cargo Preservation and Stuffing: Exhibition carpets are highly susceptible to moisture and stains, requiring secure storage and standardized container stuffing at the warehouse.

2. Extremely Tight Delivery Timeline: As exhibition materials, the carpets had to arrive in France before June, leaving a very narrow transit window.

3. Unavailability of Space under Named Account Contract (NAC): None of the shipping lines designated under the contract numbers provided by the overseas agent could release space, disrupting the original shipping plan.

4. Communication Barriers among Multiple Parties: Communication among the Turkish agent, the Chinese shipper (factory), and the French consignee was inefficient, leaving a large amount of vague information to be confirmed.

Realogistics Solutions

1. Advance Communication & Full-Process Supervision of Stuffing Realogistics communicated with the shipper's factory in advance regarding cargo details and instructed the warehouse to prepare a site meeting anti-moisture and anti-staining requirements. After the cargo entered the warehouse, it was properly stored. On the stuffing day, a dedicated supervisor was assigned to oversee the entire process, ensuring optimal stuffing quality.

2. Securing Space Proactively to Guarantee Golden Shipping Schedule To meet the strict deadline, Realogistics booked space with MSC at the earliest opportunity. By actively applying to the carrier for space guarantees and early empty container release, Realogistics minimized the preparation time at the port of loading to ensure an on-time departure.

3. Formulating Backup Plans to Mitigate Space Risks While coordinating the MSC booking, Realogistics prepared prepaid rates, schedules, and space availability from alternative shipping lines as backup solutions to prevent risks associated with potential container rolls or delays.

4. Professional Coordination to Break Communication Barriers While strictly safeguarding the commercial privacy of all parties, Realogistics acted as the communication hub. Realogistics took the initiative to assist the Turkish agent in aligning details with both the Chinese and French sides, swiftly clarifying ambiguous information and resolving unexpected issues.

Project Results

Thanks to the close cooperation of all parties, the cargo was successfully shipped on April 12 and arrived safely at the Port of Le Havre, France, on May 28 .

The entire transport process was completed well ahead of the June exhibition deadline, without generating any demurrage/detention disputes or extra costs. With highly efficient crisis management and coordination capabilities, Realogistics won high praise from both the Turkish agent and the French consignee.
