I. Business Background

• Order Date: April 25th

• POL/POD: Shekou Port, Shenzhen — Jakarta Port, Indonesia

• Cargo Details: Secondary piping, total 5 wooden cases, volume 26.86 CBM. Due to special cargo properties, stacking is strictly prohibited, limiting the loading rate per container. Booking of 2x40HQ containers was required.

• Customer Requirement: Expected arrival at the destination port by May 5th.

II. Operational Challenges

1. Pre-holiday Space Shortage: The order was received close to the May Day holiday during the peak shipping season, causing severe space shortages among major carriers.

2. Transit Time Constraints: Jakarta is often set as the second or third port of call by shipping lines. With a regular transit time of 5-8 days, precisely matching the customer's expected arrival date was highly difficult.

III. Emergencies and Response Process

• Initial Booking and Loading: After extensive comparisons, Realogistics successfully secured premium space (originally scheduled to depart on April 29th) and smoothly completed trailer dispatch and container loading on April 27th.

• Unexpected Anomaly (Customs Valuation): During customs declaration, due to the high value of the cargo, it was randomly intercepted by the customs system for machine inspection. On-site price verification was required, pausing the customs clearance process.

• Emergency Response Strategy:

1. Overnight Preparation: That evening, the Realogistics operations team worked overtime urgently to compile a full set of supporting documents, including the customer's historical transaction records and product parameters.

2. On-site Negotiation: The next morning, a Realogistics dedicated customs broker immediately went to Shekou Customs to submit the documents and assist with the review in person.

3. Decisive Plan Alteration: As the customer could not provide certain supplementary documents required by customs on time, continuing the valuation process would lead to high demurrage fees and completely missing the sailing schedule. To secure the shipping window, Realogistics decisively applied to customs for withdrawal and gate-out procedures.

4. Re-declaration: After the withdrawal, the team quickly utilized a new Shipping Order (SO), reorganized the full set of documents for a second declaration, and finally achieved smooth customs release.

IV. Final Delivery and Experience Review

Through efficient coordination, the cargo successfully caught the space during the May Day holiday and arrived at Jakarta Port on May 12th. Facing the triple emergencies of "pre-holiday space shortage + customs inspection + missing documents," Realogistics safeguarded the customer's overall delivery schedule to the greatest extent possible.
