Realogistics transferred a total of 13 pieces of specialized equipment from Hong Kong to Macau

Project Background

In November 2024 and March 2025, Realogistics was tasked by a publicly listed medical beauty group in Hong Kong to transfer specified beauty equipment from Hong Kong to various branches in Macau.

Cargo Information

• Beauty Instruments:

  • November 2024: 3 pieces

  • March 2025: 10 pieces

Operational Challenges

1. Pickup Location Restrictions:

   1. The pickup is at a commercial building in Causeway Bay with no parking. Parking is restricted from 8:00-10:00 and 17:00-19:00, requiring pickups outside these hours.

2. Packaging and Transport:

   1. Some instruments have protruding parts. Packaging must minimize costs while preventing damage during transport.

3. Transportation Insurance Coordination:

   1. Used instruments are typically insured under ICC(C) terms (covering only major accidents). After negotiation, coverage under ICC(A) terms was secured for better protection.

Operational Process

1. Pickup Arrangement:

   1. Instruments are wrapped in cling film for protection during transit.

2. Customs Documentation:

   1. An invoice and packing list template are provided for the client to complete for Macau customs clearance.

3. Storage and Packaging:

   1. After returning to the warehouse, instruments are packaged for Macau delivery using recycled wooden crates. Weight and dimensions are recorded for booking, and arrangements are made for delivery to the public loading area.

4. Transportation and Delivery:

   1. The barge arrives in Macau the next morning. The local agent picks up the goods from the dock, unpacks them, and delivers them to the branches.
