Project Background & Multiple Challenges

The client had strict transit time requirements, but the project coincided with the Chinese New Year (CNY) holiday. Coupled with the special nature of the cargo, Realogistics faced three major operational challenges:

1. Oversized & Precise Cargo, Difficult Loading: The cargo was large, heavy, and highly precise. Standard vehicles could not accommodate it, and it was highly susceptible to damage from bumps during transit.

2. Peak Season Congestion, Severe Space Shortage: Air freight space was extremely tight during the CNY holiday. Furthermore, the available cargo space specifications at the local Xiamen airport did not match the dimensions of this oversized cargo.

3. Holiday Communication & Coordination Difficulties: Cross-border transport involves multiple parties including domestic and international airlines, agents, and customs brokers. Staff on holiday leave can easily lead to communication gaps, flight delays, or customs clearance hurdles.
