jiaxueyaowuh

Project Overview

- Cargo Information: Donated goods – Police vehicles

- Cargo Volume: 6 containers (one-time shipment)

- Cargo Dimensions: 6m × 2.52m × 2.53m (close to the maximum size of a container)

Transportation Challenges

1. Complex Approvals: Donated goods require a series of approvals and certifications from the State Council and relevant authorities.

2. Carrier Restrictions: The shipment must use Chinese carriers, limiting the selection range.

3. Carrier Rejection: COSCO refuses to allow private enterprises to participate in the transportation of national aid goods.

4. Special Cargo Dimensions: The vehicle dimensions are close to the container's maximum size, making loading operations highly challenging.

5. Tight Space Availability: Near-sea shipping routes are overbooked, with carriers typically offering only 2–3 container slots, while the client requires all 6 containers to be shipped at once.

Solutions and Implementation Process

1. Space Coordination

- Contacted multiple carriers one by one over a period of 10 days to negotiate and coordinate.

- Ultimately selected SITC's services after successful booking and securing of space, ensuring all 6 containers could be shipped in one batch to meet the client’s requirements.

2. Documentation and Customs Clearance

- Maintained close communication with the client to ensure all customs clearance documents were complete.

- The customs declaration process took 2 days and was successfully completed, with the goods cleared for shipment.

3. Container Loading and Operations

- Loading Challenges: Due to the large vehicle dimensions, there was only 4–5 cm of clearance on the sides and 10 cm at the top, leaving very limited operational space.

- Professional Handling: Engaged an experienced professional warehouse team specializing in loading large cargo.

- Problem Resolution: During the loading process, power and fuel supply issues arose. The on-site team quickly resolved these problems to ensure the loading schedule was not affected.

- Precise Operations: Each vehicle was carefully driven into the container, followed by securing and power disconnection to ensure safe transportation.

4. Transportation and Delivery

- The shipment departed on schedule and arrived at Sihanoukville Port after 5 days of sailing.

- The cargo was successfully cleared at the destination port and delivered to the recipient, completing the mission.

Project Results

Through the above measures, we overcame multiple challenges, including complex approvals, tight space availability, and high loading difficulty. The successful transportation of the donated police vehicles was completed, earning high recognition from the client.
