In September 2026, Realogistics undertook a project to export a batch of dredger equipment to Nigeria. Facing challenges such as a shortage of shipping space for heavy-lift cargo, on-site operational restrictions during the National Day holiday, and the regulatory declaration of dual-use items, Realogistics actively coordinated resources and organized on-site operations to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely shipment.

1. Scope of Work

The client entrusted Realogistics with the logistics and transportation services for exporting dredger equipment from Lianyungang to Nigeria. The cargo featured massive volume and heavy weight, with some components exceeding conventional transportation limits. The scope of work also involved space coordination, on-site cargo delivery to the port, and dual-use item declarations.

2. Basic Cargo Information

• Cargo Name: Dredger equipment and related components

• Total Volume: 5,518 CBM

• Total Weight: 872.433 tons

• Maximum Single-Piece Dimension: Length approx. 25.2 meters

• Maximum Single-Piece Weight: Approx. 73 tons

4. Operational Challenges

① High Difficulty in Heavy-Lift Transport: The cargo's total volume reached 5,518 CBM with a total weight of 872.433 tons, and the largest single piece measured 25.2 meters in length and weighed 73 tons. This posed high demands on transportation resources and on-site operations.

② Space Shortage & Holiday Operation Restrictions: Market shipping space was tight, making it difficult to secure a viable shipping schedule. Furthermore, the project coincided with the National Day long holiday, resulting in limited on-site manpower and terminal dispatching resources.

③ Complex Special Regulatory Declarations: The dredger involved dual-use item approval and declaration. The strict regulatory requirements posed high demands for document preparation and the overall declaration process.

5. Realogistics' Solutions

① Multi-Party Coordination for Transport Resources: Actively engaged with shipping carriers and partners, continuously coordinated for available shipping space, and ultimately succeeded in securing a near-term shipping schedule.

② Orchestrating On-Site Port Delivery: Assigned project personnel to stand fast at their posts during the National Day holiday, coordinating on-site and terminal resources to ensure all cargo was delivered to the port on schedule.

③ Advance Preparation of Declaration Documents: Proactively reviewed the approval and declaration requirements for dual-use items in advance, perfecting the documentation item by item to guarantee smooth customs clearance.

6. Project Outcomes

Realogistics successfully overcame the space shortage challenge, completing all cargo port delivery and export declarations on schedule, and ultimately achieving smooth customs clearance and timely departure.

This project demonstrates Realogistics' comprehensive service capabilities in heavy-lift transport resource coordination, on-site operation management, and the export of cargo under special customs supervision.
